AbbeHealth Mental Health Services, an affiliate of UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids, announced it will be consolidating and moving office space to a new location at 615 Fifth Street, SE, Cedar Rapids, in the fall 2024.
The new facility, formerly known as the Stamats building, has more than 31,000 Square Feet and is ideal as they launch their new model of care with more integrated services for patients.
Doug Laird with Skogman Commercial Group represented UnityPoint Health – Cedar Rapids and Brian Rosteck, also with Skogman Commercial Group, represented the seller.
AbbeHealth’s model of care, first of its kind in Iowa, called the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) is designed to improve access to community-based behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment and support. CCBHCs focus is on providing comprehensive, integrated, coordinated, and person-centered behavioral healthcare.
The 8-bed crisis stabilization service operated by AbbeHealth at the Linn County Mental Health Crisis Center will NOT be relocating and will remain at its current location.
As many are aware, the Cedar Rapids community has seen a significant increase in the need for behavioral health services since Covid-19. This model of care and the new location will greatly enhance behavioral health services in Cedar Rapids.
St. Luke’s Foundation plans to launch a community-wide fundraising campaign in support of this initiative.
